It seems to be a “catch-all” category to cover all those who can’t be classified. (But why is it that I am simultaneously 99% Mainland to Liberal Christian Protestants?) Fortunately, as I always think, I am also close to the Quakers in sentiment. This is some sort of consolation. Happy to join Dr Tsui’s gathering some day.

Indeed. I felt strange when you appeared to be so happy with you results. Well, I am nto saying that UU is a heresy, but you may not realise that you are close to UU.

But this test got a problem, it seems that whenever you are nearer to "universalism" (perhaps God will save all people, including the non-believers... ) , then you will score high for UU. And UU is the place you are, whether the test cannot identify you.

For instance, I am could be a very "Jewish" and "Gnostic" in some sense as a Christian. But I can't fit in well into the system. So I too score high for UU, even higher than liberal christianity

UU is a liberal religion, not only liberal CHristianity.


Heresy is difficult to define, unless we first have a conception of what is orthodoxy, or a set of basic, core, fundamental beliefs.

是的，UU 是自由宗教，它源出於自由派基督教，但發展至今，已超越了基督教的邊界，不再是基督教。今年國際不再恐同日宗教福禮新聞稿中有 UU 的最簡短介紹。http://voy.com/200000/62.html

UU 和自由派基督徒對我來說都是新鮮事物，可否多介紹一下它們在香港的發展情況，以及它們跟主流教會的關係？

我見你及部分會員也是香港自由派基督教留言版的成員，請問他們那邊又是如何的光景？

香港一直有些教會（主要是主流教會，而非褔音派或基要派教會）、神學院、基督教機構對自由神學持正面態度。香港自由派基督教留言版成立的目的是凝聚自由派的基督徒及讓教會及社會認識自由派的聲音。網上是虛擬世界，教會組織的形成才能提供一個實質的自由派信仰群體生活。但香港沒有一所自由派的教會或一個自由派的團契，現在香港的自由派宗教者是沒有自由派教會可返的。UU 源出於基督教自由派，後來向自由主義的方向不斷發展，現已成為自由宗教，但內裡仍然保存 UU 基督徒團契。以 UU 模式在香港成立第一所自由主義的教會是可取的，原因是可跟隨一個已約有三百年歷史的傳統，不用重新摸索。這就是尋道會。UU 內裡有基督徒團契，服務基督徒的靈性需要。尋道會中的基督徒團契命名為進思基督徒團契（「進思」一詞譯自英語 "Progressive" 一詞）。
